Rosin is an important basic raw material in the ink industry. The development of the ink industry depends on the development of the printing industry. The Chinese packaging and printing industry grows at an annual rate of more than 10%, making the Chinese ink industry one of the bright spots in the global ink industry. The use of rosin ink resins focuses on paste inks and offset inks. And these two major types of ink resins are difficult to replace with petroleum resins. In 2002, 2003 and 2004, China’s ink consumption was 24.21, 27.46 and 285,000 tons, respectively. The total annual output of ink in China has reached 220,000 tons, and the growth rate has reached more than 10%. Based on this, the total consumption of rosin in domestic ink is about 25,000 tons.
Second, the amount of paint in the paint industry
China's paint industry uses rosin in several major categories of paint production of about 70-85 million tons, according to analysis of relevant parties in previous years, the use of rosin in the paint to maintain at 20,000 tons, but in recent years, by the price of petroleum resin Effects, hydrogenated rosin, polymerized rosin, acrylic paint added rosin modified, low viscosity high weather-resistant hot-melt type rosin modified road marking paint application growth is very obvious. In recent years, the actual usage of rosin in the paint and coating industry is estimated to be about 30,000 tons.
Third, the application of rosin in the adhesive industry
The application of rosin in the adhesive industry is mainly concentrated in hot melt adhesives and pressure sensitive adhesives. China's light industry, especially the packaging and decorating industry, is developing rapidly. In 2003, the adhesive consumption in China reached 3.35 million tons. According to authoritative agencies, the adhesive consumption in China has maintained a growth rate of over 13% in recent years. In recent years, the cost performance of petroleum resins has been reduced. Due to environmental protection and safety requirements, rosin gum has replaced or partially replaced urea-formaldehyde rubber in wood-based panel materials and building interior decoration projects. This has led to an increase in the use of rosin in adhesives, which is estimated to be in recent years. The amount of rosin used was between 25,000 and 30,000 tons.
